I have always had a thing for Roman, Japanese, Dutch and German History. I have always been fascinated with the samurai, voc, Roman Empire and warfare and WWII. I have a few katanas under my belt, and to me the next interesting weapon is the gladius. If the katana is yin, with pinpoint accuracy, finesse and style, the gladius would be yang with up close and personal, brute force. I haven't done much research on many European type swords, but I did run a quick Google on the kris gladius, and it seems to get ok reviews, a user blade, and supposedly a decent one for the price. I have been in contact with Cristina from Kris Cutlery, as I just put one of their 29iv katanas on layaway for a gift for my buddy. I asked her when they would be getting any in, and she said they have one. She let me put it in layaway. So I'll have it in a couple months. I'm pretty stoked it was that easy to get my name on one, as during my reading, it seems that they are pretty hard to obtain. I would like to anyone's thoughts/experience with the Kris gladius. Also, are there any decent roman daggers? As far as European type stuff goes, I have also had my eye on the Cold Steel Scottish dirk. That looks pretty rad. Cheers guys, Cody
