After reading an article on the dadao, i then decided to imagine a more "pretty" one that's somewhat larger.
Since i don't/can't draw, i have decided to describe it as i imagine it. (I may try one day, but untill then, you can try)
Specs.
Blade steel and length: 32 inches blade length. T10 steel, differentially hardened, a hamon, folded steel spine for looks and a solid edge. Similar blade shape to that of the cold steel "chinese warsword" with the hole at the beginning of the curve near the tip. Two fullers follow the curve of the blade at the spine untill just before the spine curve or "false edge". On both sides of the blade it is engraved in chinese "May i please your bloodlust, for i spare no one". EDIT: Spine is at maximum 5-6mm thick and the edge type favours cleaving, like a convex edge.
Handle and Wrap: 21 inches wood wrapped in high quality black silk in the style of the tsuka of a katana with a "battlewrap" with rayskin underneath that has a golden hue to it. The wood is pegged and glued to the slab tang for the durability of the construction. EDIT: a "menuki" of the chinese animal that symbolises royalty and/or power is added to the wrap. The handle can/may also be sinuously curved with the blade like the katana, because why not?
Guard: Blackened s shape with gold accents.
Pommel: a piece of the tang, ring shaped and blackened with gold accents. EDIT: Now it spirals towards it's center, it's also rounded.
Weight: No more than 3.3/3-5kg.
Name: The warlord, or Royal Executioner.
Scabbard: Wood wrapped in leather, set up for carry on the left/right side.
