Just some knife ideas for when I get everything put together to get started, and get some stock metal to work from which one do you like

I like 2. It seems practical for combat if it were a last resort.

I disagree that number 2 would be practical for combat the shape is all wrong, depending on the school of knife fighting I guess. Number 5 I don't think you would be able to make and sell because it looks like strider's knife from LoTR. Number 1 is the best for a combat knife, serrate one side of the blade and it would become a very handy survival knife, put a striker on the bottom or make the butt plate impact resistant and it would make a good combat/survival knife.

I dunno, just the fact it has an awesome hand guard! The owner will be keeping his fingers!

I'm with bloodwraith. #2 is the farthest out there and most likely would not work out terribly well for "combat," but #'s 1, 5, 7, even 4 should all be pretty good. Even if #5 does have that nasty likeness problem, heck it's a general knife design to me. I'd not paid any attention to the LoTR weapons when referring to these pictures. Myself, I'd take a #1, but I'm not in favor of serration, though your tastes may vary (right bw? ) though I do agree that an impact-resistant butt plate would be beneficial. #4 I might serrate the back, like the CRKT except the entirety rather than a small portion, but I'm not really sure where to go with the design overall. It's a bit...weird, really. Not that this is a bad thing, mind you. Different is merely different. #7 would be good for various small tasks, mostly kitchen work, but is still a good-looking design, and I wouldn't want to get hit with it. I'm not so sure if the guard on #2 is so great. Bear in mind it's only as thick as the blade, so it's no basket. The fingers will be exposed and pretty well open from either side, unless you're that damn good at turning the thing to protect them (I wouldn't count on it myself, not to mention fingers could just as easily be trapped in that thing and, well, use your imagination here...) but otherwise it looks like it'd get in the way, despite offering substantial mass and area for the cut. It'd make a fine slicer, but I don't know if I'd try to fight with it. I'd pull out #1 much faster.

Actually random, I really hate serrations I was just giving him ideas, I would take number 1 as it is with an impact resistant butt plate. Number 2 might make a good skinning knife actually.

Well, there we have it. You and I are of closer minds than I thought.
...This could be bad.
(Agreed, as I've said, #2 could make a fine slicer (/skinner/what have you) but I'm not sure if it'd do much else)

Number 2 is awesome. I just find more use outta number 1. I am trained in ninjutsu knife combat, and it seems practical to me.

I like number 6, not for combat, just as a versatile woods chopper come dinner prep knife. I had planned to make one of them, but it got buried.
