My depiction of the legendary Irish sword, the Caladbolg (there is alot of pencil smearing, sorry)

interesting design! Why that pommel? Not that it's bad...it's just different. The hilt wrap kinda looks like a tire though obviously it's not bad, just my observations ;D. Presumably the fuller extends into the guard yes? If so, then I really like the blade. If not, I still like the blade . Great work!

heh heh thanks rammstein, and I appretiate your input
yeah pretty wierd pommel huh? I was thinking Irish so I made it clover like (stereotypical I know... but Im Irish so I can do what I want! haha)
though I didn't do a great job depicting it, the handle is supposed to be like a reddish brown suede or leather wrapped with brass wire.
yes the fuller does extend into the guard but Im still contemplating if I should have that large ricasso in which case I guess it wouldn't

Haha nice design. No insulting intended, but in your sketch of the hilt it looks like a peanut between a pinball machine zapper!

Lol, sorry, I do like the way you did a blade cross-section and the tsuka (Gah! Sorry! Handle - used to katanas!) Is nice.

Nice. Maybe next you could draw the Gáe Bulg, the uber barbed spear of Cúchulainn. Now that would be an interesting challange.

Here is a survival knife I designed with the help of a few helpful forumite suggestions.

IMO that survival knife should have more of a drop-point, in order to better facilitate thrusting with the point. Kinda like this: Otherwise I love it! And I'd definitely take it on as a comission project if you ever wanted to make it a reality...

That is a very good point slavia, a survival knife should absolutely be able to thrust. I didn't want to give this particular knife a clip point, but I hadn't considered a drop point, which would indeed, as I can see (courtesy of your modification), is a good choice.
I would absolutely like to see it made a reality! How much would it cost me? Oh and I wouldn't mind if you made one for yourself (not that I could stop you through typing heh heh) though if you did, could you perhaps do me one small favor and put my ricasso insignia on the finished thing? (the odd symbol that makes up my insignia is a J, P, and R fused together) (my initials)

This design is is inspired by fellow forumite bloodwraith's idea of a saw-kukri.

Ok, now THAT is a survival knife, make it on the same model as the ang khola from HI with a saw on the back, a neutral balance to the blade and hot damn. I would actually round the straight bit after the saw and push the belly curve forward slightly. I loves khukuri, I need to design some knives although like I said combat knives are my speciality.
