For those who have handled or owned this sword, I have a few questions/concerns.
1) Is the hilt construction sturdy enough to handle this massive sword? (I know the tang is pretty small and the grip has little to no contact with the tang. Also, I know people have bent their tangs)
2) Has DSA improved the strength and durability of these hilt constructions?
3) Is the overall build quality good or bad? (will it break in my hands?) --- (the hilt i mean)
4) Is the Grip/Pommel configuration something to worry about?
I dont have any plans at this point to chop anything up with it, really just swing it around. So would medium use break this thing apart?
Thanks everyone!

Well..I obtained a DSA Anduril a couple of years ago. My Opinion ?..to be honest, after reading a couple of reviews where folks said *their* Anduril broke/bent at the Tang/pommel I've not felt comfortable even taking a couple of dry swings with it Also..another thing I did notice..their website description at the time said the pommel and guard were steel..I checked with a magnet and mine was totally non-magnetic ( they actually appear to be some sort of alloy casting ) On contacting DSA at the time and mentioning this, they admitted the pommel and guard were NOT steel..and they said they'd change their web page to reflect that. As far as I know..that didn't happen. For a wall hanger..I'd say attractive, but over-priced if purchasing retail . As *functional" sword..I'd not risk it. Other's may have very different opinions, and DSA *may* have upgraded the Anduril since I purchased.

I had a older DSA Anduril sword... I cut with it many times and it never broke down on me. it was, however, a huge, heavy, unbalanced hunk of metal and not at all fun to swing around.
