What do you think of these? Saw this pictures in relation with ebay-sellers from US, UK, Pakistan etc.etc. Has anyone ever owned one of their blades? Attachments:

First impressions aren't great. I'd bet my left bollock there's epoxy and a rat-tail tang under that carpet. As a general rule I disregard anything with the word "Damascus" in it. It's not Damascus wootz steel, none of it is, it's just a cheap alternative to proper pattern welding, which people often mistake for Damascus wootz.
Many moons ago, I had steels much like this one (though not from these sellers), but on "Japanese" SLO's (Damascus katana! What was I thinking?!). More often than not it's just an oily surface treatment to give it that sought after look. The steel itself was cheap and not properly hardened to hold an edge.
My advice would be to avoid them unless you want an interesting wallhanger.

As i said, i saw exactly the same floor on "UK Bladesmiths" (gone), now here on "custom.made.gallery", etc. Always well sounding english names and so on...

The "Damascus" certainly has that Pakistan look to it.

Exactly - some of these sellers on EBay and other places sell these Pakistan swords under the guise of being made in western countries. :?
I have seen them being sold and were being advertised as being made in France, England, Canada and other places.
