I wanted to reinforce my Windlass leather bracers with some kind of metal solution. I'm not sure what you call these little metal rings, "washers"?. Anyway, I glued, stitched, lacquered and painted a pile of them to leather bracers and this is what came out of it: They are a little bit crude looking but quite comfortable. They are now robust and I'm sure blade won't cut through them easily, but I guess they won't protect too well against crushing damage. But I think it's OK, functional, simple and cheap improvement. Thank you

Thank you demonskull. First I was about to just stitch all the metal rings, but after two hours of stabbing my fingers with needle I decided that epoxy was the way to go. Actually I believe the glue will hold the metal rings in place more efficiently than stitching anyway. I'm not a big fan of Game Of Thrones stuff (TV show is quite silly), but they do have nice armours.

Thank you Lancelot Chan.
Glad that you noticed my post since you've been working on experimental armour too.
I was planning on doing a full jacket with these metal rings, but they are surprisingly heavy and I believe a full jacket reinforced like this would be too heavy.
I still think that using these as extra reinforcement is an ok idea. Maybe I should test cut something reinforced with this solution and see how it endures. But I don't have a sword I would be willing to damage. I'm sure that hitting e.g. these bracers would cause some damage to edge.
