My favourite sword type! Are you going to do a review? There's not enough reviews on Albion's Roman swords.

What is it? I am kind of in the market for a gladius type sword. I own 7 katanas since I started collecting in December, but I think a gladius will be my first non Japanese sword. This one looks like it is very good quality. Sorry if I am asking noobish question, but I just really haven't a clue when it comes to Roman weapons and vendors. Nice blade, I really like it. Cheers buddy, Cody

An Albion Mainz. $800.00 unless you get this lucky.
Valiant Armoury has a slightly less accurate mainz, but it is a heck of a gladius. Kris Cutlery's is also a classic cutter that is always backordered.

Nice! Granted, I'm biased. I absolutely love the gladius. Basically, my favorite sword type has gone from katana (of course) to bastard sword, to zweihander, back to bastard sword, and finally... the gladius. They don't always look as flashy at first, as ritualized (whatever I mean by that), but the moment you hold one... good lord. I have quite a few different pieces but if I were ever attacked by an Orc, I'd go for my Generation 2 gladius first.

That's the Albion Allectus, I picked one up a few years back before they had the big price increase. I just started building a display stand for it yesterday. It's going to look like a Roman temple. Will be something like this display I built for a statue of William Wallace only with more detail. .
