Hey guys, this big bad baby is back in stock (with a lot of other LA stuff) at KOA for a ridicously low price! Gotta check it out! Attachments:

KOA has added this to all Gen2/LA descriptions:
Although the manufacturer considers these as “battle ready” weapons. We have found that the blade temper is too soft for us to list them as such on some of the longer bladed swords.

What happened to Legacy Arms then? I own a lot of their items, and all of them, even the longer ones are beautifully tempered and strong?

I have had 4 of their longer swords in the past but never cut anything but water bottles.
Anyone cut harder targets with them?

Yep. Despite all warnings i went on hard, dry yellow bamboo 3-5cm diameter and thickwalled cardboard tubes; i wouldnt say clean cuts (my lack of technique)but the swords held up well, especially the Henry; the Ranger i a little heavy but performed also quite good. The Chaos is to be properly sharpened first as i ruined the edge following the infamous Accusharp way! The Torino is my pretty baby, i didnt cut anything with that one yet. I am running out of low-end brands if this to continue! First Darksword, now Legacy Arms; i wonder when Hanwei starts to f**k things up!

What exactly do they mean with "too soft temper"? Sword will bend and take a set?

Think they mean the edges are soft. If not tempered right, a blade could take a set.
I once bought a sword from Australia on EBay (they are still in business) and did a simple flex test. Sword flexed and stayed bent at that angle. It was not a Gen2 sword. :-(
