I remember this type of double-edged tip from some japanese and chinese blades i think...

Yep; you'll see this type of tip fairly often on Tang Dynasty daos, as well as the Japanese kissaki-moroha-zukuri. A similar tip can also be found on some Western cavalry sabers and it wouldn't surprise me if some Middle Eastern swords also exhibited this style of tip.

Looking forward to this...with windlass its always a little win-or-loose game; but with KOAs return policy, what should happen My last piece of Windlass, the Homildon, is very well done.

I saw this when they introduced it in one of their catalogs a while back. Looked pretty cool, but I was really curious how it felt and handled. If you don't mind, let us know your impressions of it, and if the one you get is different then what's shown in the catalog. I do like the style of it, wonder if it could be used to cut light stuff?

Actually reminds me a bit of Daedric from the Elder Scrolls franchise.

Looks like the runes on their Drizzt swords; nevertheless, i cancelled the order. I just ran into an Albion Mercenary + Todstuff scabbard for 770,- Euros and i am all busy sending things back right now! Even my new Apokatana; but this is a unique chance!

I'm interested in any variation of two-hander sabers. This one has an unfortunate combination of things I find unappealing, though - spear point, fittings, curvature, etc. Lots of little things.
I might still consider getting one just because it's an affordable two-handed saber, but only if it's an over-all good sword.

What he means it not right to send things back that have no problems just because you found something else you want. Most sword vender work with a very slim profit margins.

^^ this. Things like this drive their costs up and we all end up paying for it in the end. If you agree to a deal, in this case purchasing these swords, and they uphold their part, you should uphold yours. If I was one of the vendors and saw your post I would tell you no when you tried to return the items. You've also opened the door up to having people worry about selling items to you on the forums. If I sell you something, how do I know you won't decide to return simply because you found something you want more?

Great. You guys have to swim in money. Thank you very much for the sermon; in germany we call that riding a VERY high horse. But dont be upset, couldnt manage to get the money together anyway because i had to by new winter tyres. So go ahead mocking about the bad, bad buyer; couldnt care less.

It has nothing to do with how much money you have; it has to do with honoring agreements you've made. Besides, I'm far from swimming in money; if I can't afford something, I just don't buy it.

OK, i lied in the previous post, i do care, i am seriously p****d!!!

I think you might need a brew. It is our business. Everything on these boards are (collectively) "our" business. Here's your blindfold. Now, would you like a cigarette or not?

If it's none of our business don't post it in an open forum. You will get replies you don't like when you do something like this.

I quit smoking 8 years ago. I regret sometimes; i gained around 18 kg of additional weight and alot of nerves subtracted  i consider myself a rather shy and reasonable person but arrogance gets me on the fence. Returning things is a) not MY usual behaviour, is b) an ABSOLUTELY COMMON behaviour here (around 10 % of all german online sales volume), c) i would NEVER do that with a private/forum/ebay buy and d) i am so sorry for allowing myself dreaming of a €1600,- or so package catched for €770! Thanx no blindfold; i face so much things actually i am not afraid of some stiff forum breeze
