Here is a new website that will be of interest to those who are interested in 18th and 19th century military swords: www.swordsandpistols.co.uk/There are photo galleries, a wanted/for sale section, and articles. Enjoy!

Holy smokes! Many thanks, Spadroon. Two of my favorite subjects: sabers and muzzleloading guns. I perused the photo galleries and the articles, and I can see that I'm going to be visiting that site often. An outstanding find, my friend. Thanks again.

Hey y'all, Yes indeed. It is a neat site. I just wish the pics were bigger. But it appears that sooner or later I am going to have to get me one of those British 1796 Lt Cav sabers.
Kriegschwert, after not handling it much lately, I got my 1860 Lt Cav sabre out tonight and handled it a bit, went through a couple of motions, etc.. Man, it feels good in the hand! There nothing like the feel of a good sabre in your hand! Take care, Freebooter
