Due Oct 2013. Looks like a continuation of the shift to China. www.kriscutlery.com/mm5/merchant ... e=Medieval I might be interested except that it looks like the new handle will be round. Don't like that idea, but does anybody know if round is accurate for the time period ??

I saw that as well. I don't know if it's historical or not not but that Celtic sword is one of my favorites. I have a friend that was very new to swords and cutting do a silent on an emtpy bottle right after he unwrapped his. That round handle is a definate hindrance tho. Wants to turn in your hand. I watch this development with interest.

The old Celtic had a round handle also... so this will not be a new issue.

Not sure if the round handle is historical but I like that blade and will be ordering one as soon as I can afford it! Hope they get more of 'em out in the future, along with their gladius and spatha. Love their spatha, but can't find a KC gladius anywhere (can't afford one 'til about the 19th anyhow - too much $$$ spent this month, just got a Sticklestad in from KOA today).
Thanks for the heads up!
Best, Aetius

I think it will be a winner - with a better look overall. I also think the second pic of the mock up handle is pretty funny-- the notations of each part... for those who REALLY just don't understand lol
