So quite a few folks here have MANY swords. Some have LOTS in their collection, some have quite a few less. Based on YOUR collection, what sword in your collection is the one you "go to" the most. For me, "go to" means the one I pick off the rack when I want a sword in hand. I am not really a cutter, more a collector, but that's me. However you define "go to", which ever one you grab the most out of your collection. What ever it happens to be. Lets hear it, and why.
For me its my Albion Senlac. I just love it. Its simplicity makes it perfect for me. Great lines and balance. It's my "go to". I have a small collection, its like 14 swords total, but this is the one for me. It also happens to be my only Albion. Any way you slice it, its the one I go to more than any other, easily. Just saying. What's yours?

Right now I would say my evolution atrim XIIIa. She's a big sexy girl. A very powerful cutting great sword that handles beautifully. She feels like a big powerful war sword in the cut but handles more like a well balanced bastard sword. She handles magnificently in one hand as well as two. But my evolution phat bastard might tie with the XIIIa. I can't wait to get my XIIa.4

When I want to feel that connection, it's my Albion Crecy.
When I'm running out the door during the zombie apocalypse, my evo falchion...... or maybe my ronin elite.

Definitely my Albion Crecy. It comes off as simple at first glance, but the subtle complexities of the blade profile make you really appreciate the work and research done. Eagerly awaiting the upcoming Ronin/Atrim Type XVI, as the Crecy needs a little sister.

Is this topic just what's your one favorite sword or can we pick a single hander and a two hander? Also is it just limited to euro's?
For a one hander I'd take any atrim 1557,XIV,XVI, or 1315. And my bamboo mat katana for a none euro.

Seconded on the Bamboo Mat for non-euro. Seriously sexy blade.

I would also trust my life with any sword Brendan Olszowy makes. The phrase tuff as nails comes to mind.

Probably my Tinker Grand espée de guerre ( the one pictured on his book covert ). This sword is so well balanced that it calls to you to take it...

i'd say it's my bbzs - that big ass knife I love. Technically if knives aren't allowed in the vote, then I'd say my 9260 beater from huawei gets grabbed the most for messing around with.

My collection is pretty small at the moment: only composed of two swords. However, if I still had all of my swords, I'd still go with this sword, even over my old Albion Knight. The Atrim XIIIb.1 Attachments:

I only have 3 swords in my collection right now, but out of those I always go for my Kris Cutlery Medieval War Sword. I do some light cutting now and then and it just feels so easy to maneuver in my hands.

I would pick up my Arms and Armor Walloon. It could match up against any Medieval, Renaissance, or later period sword. The blade is fairly wide and has cutting authority, but is also pretty nimble. That guard gives great hand protection. Actually I choose it as my Robert Heinlein, Lady Vivamus, Glory Road sword. Second choice is my ATrim Triple Fuller Makers Mark Proto AT1326 type XIII. To quote Dr. Frankenstein, "It's alive, it's Alive, it's ALIVE!"

I'm up to about 90 now (what can I say, it's a sickness  ) but when it comes to cutting I still grab the first sword I bought from SBG for that purpose, my-please don't throw things  -cheness tenchi. It has seen me through my bad cut learning experiences and never missed a beat. If you mean "go to" for serious trouble it would be my Angus Trim Xa .

As much as I love my KC Teutonic sword, I like the feel of the pommel of this unnamed Type XVI Windlass blade, so I'd have to go with that, even with its inherent Windlass-whippyness. I never thought I'd be into scent-stopper pommels (they're just not aesthetically pleasing to me), but damn do they allow amazing control and maneuverability of a blade...

It depends on mood and need for me,
If it was Zombie Time I would grab my GSoW or my Maciejowski glaive/war-knife because they're cheap and tough.
If it is for sharp practicing or test cutting it would be the Durer, the 2nd version KC Teutonic or the Wind & Thunder.
If it is just to heft something and admire it (when it's too late to be active) it would be silly things that I have a connection with: my redone Windlass Norwegian Viking Sword, my Frankenstein Bastard Sword composed of a Windlass Military Rapier blade/pommel and a bronze cross/self-made handle, my redone Windlass Two Handed Falchion or my Hanwei Saxon.
Whenever I have to check out weird noises at night I grab my redone Windlass Two Handed Falchion, it makes sense, it's as short as an arming sword, cuts like an axe and stabs like a great big spear.

Honestly, when I am in my hobby room, I pick a different sword to handle for each time I am there. When I get a new sword, I do tend to handle it more than the others until I get a feel for it.
The price of the swords do not play into it as I like some of my cheaper swords as well as the more expensive ones.

For me, its my bronze ewart park sword. Its a very handy sword and is fairly short. Properly sharpened it is just as deadly to unprotected flesh than any steel sword.

Sadly, I have sold most of my favorite or 'go to' swords at this point. If I had to fight with a sword, I would have gone to my old Atrim LPM 1516 or Makers Mark XVIa... maybe the Odinblade Steerboard or Verimus. If it was a single handed sword I woulda grabbed my Tinker XIV ridding sword, I might have gone for my Hanwei Bushido. All gone now. If I had to fight with a sword now... it might be my KC 29 Green Wolf or Atrim Evo Falchion. Single Handed would be my wife's Fable Blade FoxJian. The sword I just grab and touch the most the is the Albion Maxamilion. The thing is so huge and impressive.

I would like my newest DT ATrim Evo Thorpe 28" Falchion to be the first choice. But I don't have a scabbard for that one right now, and I think that's a critical component of the choice. I wouldn't take a sword without a scabbard.
So many choices, but not nearly enough good scabbards. I would probably grab my ATrim Contrai Falchion with VA Sword Shoppe scabbard.
I GOTTA get a good scabbard and belt made for the Evo Thorpe! Then it WILL be the one and only.
