I'm sorry Guy Windsor, but Stefan Dieke has usurped you as the man in western martial arts who impresses me most.
I recently got to attend a seminar held at Fearless Fitness in San Mateo, CA featuring Stefan Dieke, of Altekampfkunst a WMA school in Germany.
Stefan's interpretation in German Longsword is really really amazing... sorry Tobler, but Stefan has you beat. Stefan's system was really really sound and effective, and I really enjoyed myself.
It was interesting to see how his interpretation and my own were similar, and also how they differed. I will of course be assimilating some of his ideas into my own system, while others will remain different(especially considering my style mixes Italian and German swordplay, and his is German only - that is to be expected).
Anyway, hearing people talk to fondly of Windows Movie Maker, I set Nero aside for a bit and threw something quick together in the former, and hope you enjoy.
(warning: I used a song by Tenacious D in here that features such vulgarity as '$emprini' and 'fL|cker' and 'pubic hair'. While I generally avoid vulgarity, Tenacious D's hilarious use of naughty words has always been hilarious to me. DO NOT WATCH if you have virgin ears)
Note: the video is still processing, so it'll be a little while before people can play it.

Adam, you're short. Sorry but someone needs to say it ;D
Just pulling your leg of course - I really envy your opportunity here. Stefan in a legend and I wish I could have been there!

Y'know, all I got out of that is that I just noticed your new avatar.
Dangit Rammstein, I was singing the Trogdor song when you were still in diapers.

I don't know about any publishing he's got in the works, but they said in theory he'll be coming out to San Mateo every year... with luck anyway.
I'll get more picks and clips up soon.

I actually met Stefan Dieke last night. He'll be teaching at the Australian Historical Swordplay Conference over the weekend in Melbourne Australia.
