According to the site, the g2g chip is something to the effect of a microchip that verifies authenticity.... basically to try and prevent wide distribution of cheap knockoffs.... still I agree its a horribly overpriced wall hanger.... I hate paying for licensing...

Well it looks quite good so yeah it's overpriced, but still rather cheap for a quite famous game sword replica. I expected it'd be something crazy like 500$+ The blade could be a little longer tho
Making a functional one would be kinda pointless, it'd be way too heavy for comfortable use.

I just want to correct that this sword is from Warcraft III, not World of Warcraft, i.e. WoW.
And, it is my opinion that this sword is awesome.
Best Wallhanger ever - Frostmourne FTW.

I concur wholeheartedly with Adam on this one. This sword is one BAMF.
And hey, it's going to be in the next WoW exp. WotLK. Well, it's supposedly going to be in it.

Yeah, and Warglaive of Azzinoth is supposedly in BC, but how many people do you see with it? I saw one once.

I think that sword is the most overdone piece of crap I have ever laid eyes on, but then I never bought into the time wasting B.S that is WoW.

I don't think it's any more overdone than many of Kit Rae's pieces. Though his Sword of Darkness is preferable to this.

I don't really like overdone swords, a bit of decoration is fine, but I also collect my weapons to be able to use them, not to just hang em on a wall and look at them, $400 for a wallhanger? What an overpriced PoS, of course this is just my opinion.

Wow (Or just Warcraft) is for people with a whole lotta time, like me. I don't play it though. Thats sword would be an awesome display piece and make you the envy of all Warcraft fans.

Not even people with a whole lot of time necessarily. I play a couple hours over the course of a week. Just because some people play for 4-5 hours a day doesn't mean that everyone does.
And obviously, this replica isn't meant to be used at all nor do they advertise it as such. It is merely a piece of game memorabilia. I've seen star wars toys go for far more than $400.
So yes, from a perspective of someone wanting a sword to USE, it is, indeed, comparable to a POS. To someone who loves the game lore however, it may be quite a bit more.
No different from Conan Swords if you ask me.

Its really nice. They've done a fantastic job on it. Many people will be very happy. I like overdone swords. And I agree with Adam's last post.
What is a pity is that the hilt pieces are probably hollow cast crap. If it were lost wax cast bronze I could make a high carbon blade to turn it into a real sword. Oh well - it's a BAMF Wallhanger.

I'm just happy someone tried to make it. Looks great, which is pretty much the whole idea. Functionality can come later. (In Brenno we trust. ) And for the record, WOW is MSN messenger with swords and axes and other fun stuff.
PS, at sixteen pounds, This would make a great forms practice blade. Think of how light your other swords would feel after dragging that thing around.
