???I am thinking of adding another sword to my collection but i can't decide. i have two choices (a) the ranger sword by gen2 (b) the boromir by dark sword i plan to use both heavily for cutting and in truth the one i end up with will have to go through allot and i mean allot of cutting. also for the upcoming zombie Apocalypse, cause i know I'll run out of ammo... eventually ;D so tell me what you think.

Both are great, durable blades from what I hear, and from the reputation of both companies. You can't really go wrong with either.
I suppose it would depend on what you wanted. A big (BIG) two-hander, or a smaller sword.

I like the look of the Ranger better but I think the DSA would be tougher.
SB, any idea what bwt stands for?
As to zombies my opinion changes on any given day but today I'd use my Rittersteel full tang kat.

Thanks for the help, actualy i didc have a gen2 ranger at one point but i passed it along to my nephew for his first real sword. i realy liked it. i will probably go with another one. i am sure darksword is good but i have had too many bad experiences with threaded tangs. to be specific the hanwei scottish back sword. does any one know where gen2 stands right now in reguards to the temper issue they were having?

Be aware the ranger has changed a whole lot recently, and you may get a sword that hardly bears resemblance to the one you had.
