Fate/Stay Night Excalibur

Well i'm huge fan of this anime ( manga and game too ) and i thought i'd like to see this sword in real someday. It's from anime and still it seems like quite a possible thing to make, i'd say there's one more blade in this anime that'd be functional ( Assasin's katana, however it sure is like a nodachi or okatana at least, seems like it's tsubaless, can't see how the handle looks ).



Now this is the real excalibur if i remember it right, probably i'd give up on this, too many fine details and seems like it's lacking in functionality more than "incomplete" version.



Here we have the scabbard, quite detailed too, isn't it?;p



Here we have the best candidate i guess. Again not sure but i think this is the incomplete excalibur that Saber uses.

Now i'm not sure if i'll ever make it, probably if i were to i'd cut it out from a piece of steel instead of hand forging it myself. Thing i'm wondering about the most is these fittings on the blade ( wondering if it would be better to do them as part of the blade or something similiar in how it looks and works to a katana's habaki ).
Anyway it sure looks interesting and quite cool:p

Now that i look at it, seems like i'd have to make the handle thicker ( this one would probably hold only a rat tang ).
