I am not doing so well with the search function here and can't seem to find what I know must be out here somewhere and that is, what is the thread count/size etc for an H/T hex nut?
Or better yet, what size die would I need to cut new threads for the current hex nut?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Taken from an older thread:

Man, you had to dig deep for that quote, that was a ways back.
Excellent display of Forum Fu.

Also another thing from all the other threads and my old thread about this. No one knows of a place that sells these hex nuts. Someone posted once that they found a fencing foil hex nut that fit the thread, but needed to be sanded down to fit in the hole. The only place that has these is Hanwei themselves and they do send them out for free if you email them and yours is damaged. They're very nice about it.
But if you find a place that sells them, let me know. I've taken some of my hex nuts and used a dremmel to make it accept a flat head screw driver, because some of mine are almost stripping.

**************************************** I bookmarked that topic back when it was active. ***************************************** Ernie at Yeshua's can make them too, and he uses a harder material so they won't strip. He made one for my EMSHS.
