I would like Squall's sword in FF8. One that was built from an actual revolver that fired into the target when you pulled the trigger. It would much to dangerous and stupid to ever actually use but I would totally want one just to have.

What does Sauron's sword look like? In the movies, Sauron used a mace. (and a pretty awesome mace, as that) Not to be confused with the mace that Melkor (or Morgoth as the Elves named him) wielded, Grond. The battering ram that Sauron's forces used in the War of the Ring was also named Grond, in honor of Morgoth's mace.

I always liked to think that Grond the battering ram was Grond the mace...

That would make Morgoth HUGE though...I mean, it took how many trolls and orcs to move that thing into place?
I suppose it could've been...although I believe the Silmarillion cleared that one up for me. Still, imagine if that WERE the case. I'd want to see the War of the Valar...that would be totally be-freaked awesome!

Melkor WAS huge, Ebon (at least, the final form he was bound to). I haven't read the Silmarillion in quite some time, but he was also the mightiest of the Ainur.

We are talking about Melkor/Morgoth, the antagonist of Tolkien's work "The Silmarillion" which is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.

I thought he and his brother Manwe together, were the mightiest of the Ainur. I think Manwe might have had the edge, otherwise, he should not have been able to cast Morgoth into the Void and imprison him there...
I am looking forward to the tale of how Turin finally brings Morgoth down. I'd like to see that realized on the big screen....

It took Manwe and 13 others to combat Morgoth, and they were still unable to truly defeat him.

Yea, that's something that I took issue with initially, because, as the lore goes, he is to be slain by Turin- a single man. Granted, in reading deeper (and the Silmarillion, for some reason, does not have the latest edits, my copy that is) Morgoth's essence is lessened since he had to leave a little bit of himself in everything he marred/turned in order for it to take effect, as he does not have the Flame Imperishable. In later edits, Morgoth went from being equal to Manwe, to being strongest of the Ainur (but still feared Tulkas) to his current state, where he is the only one of the Ainu who has bonded himself to a physical form; as such, he is the only Ainu to know fear.
I apologize for hijacking this thread...kid, guess we should take this one to PM or another thread. lol

Yep, I think we've done enough hijacking.
As for the thread, I'd still love to have a Sword of Truth, but I would take a Glamdring, Anduril, Ringil or Mormegil/Gurthang/Anglachel as well. I like AoV's Ringil, but it's not really my own vision of the sword. If I ever get a piece from Brendan done, it will probably be a sword from the Silmarillion.

The swords of the imperial army were definitely intimidating in looks; Sorcha's and Kael's most especially. His looked like a sawbacked rapier...

Functional Kainan alien ship metal sword. From the movie Outlander starring James Caviezel. It would be a hell of a conversation piece.

I seem to remember seeing advertisements for weapons from the movie Outlander; notably, Gunnar's hammers which are made of foam; perfect for LARPers. I bet you Brenno could make it; its right up his alley.
Don't know about the space metal though; he might have a bit of a hard time trying to appropriate that w/out being blasted to kingdom come. lol
