As a fellow Conanite, I can honestly say that those swords bring tears of joy to my eyes (and howels of protest from my already overstrained wallet)!  They aren't Conanically-correct though! The original was 440C! ;D |

Ive always wanted this sword as well. Though to tell you the truth the Mothers Sword has its own lovely appeal.

On e-Bay one can find an Atlantean Sword for about US$ 430, with shipping (to USA). The sword is said to be manufactured by Marto. By the pictures I can say it's a very good replica, very close to the movie's sword. Maybe next time I visit my sister-in-law I have the guts to spend almost US$ 500 in a sword, and have it shipped to her before I arrive there. As for the Father's Sword, it can be found for less than US$ 60, with shipping. Mr Spock, those Marto ones look identical to the Albion / Jody Sampson ones except please be aware they are not fully functional. I can't remember but I think they are stainless, and/or have a rat tail tang. They are more just for decoration.
Just sell your cars fellas and get the Albion ones.

Thanks Brenno, I was not aware of these facts. I know they are stainless 440, of course, they state it on eBay. As for the rat tail tang, that can be a problem. Anyway, I do not intent to cut anything with the sword, I leave this to my Cheness Ranko. But I still have to find the guts to spend US$ 450 in a sword. Thats almost R$ 1,000.00 (Reais, brazilian currency). My poor paycheck will get very hurt if I do it...
As for the cheap chinese organs, Asterix, I'd be carefull! Ask for warranty! :-D

Though this is slightly off topic, it may still be interesting for some of you. Some friends are trying to establish an international 'Hyborian' reenacting group, the "Hyborian Circle". The purpose of this group is bringing together friends of Robert E. Howard's Fantasy novels, be it Conan or Kull, Red Sonya or Soloman Kane et al. so that we can show our "Hyborian" costumes and equipment, including (of course) swords.
