It's safe to say that just about all swords like this have a tang, but it may not be satisfactory. It it usually going to be rat-tailed meaning pencil thin and welden on. However, I've heard some good things about kit rae and if you're going to go the wallhanger route, I don't know any other fantasy designer that will serve better. Just don't expect to be getting a "real" sword that you can treat to the rigors of combat. While kit rae may be good for fantasy work, I'm not sure if their creations are even remotely battle ready. You may want to do research on kit rae in general rather thn the specific sword.

... any fantasy swords that is sturdy and has a edge and cool looking? DoubleX, I would suggest you might take a look at the fantasy swords page at Arms of Valor. Jason at A0V (trueswordsman here on SBG Forum) only stocks good stuff. And he stands behind anything you buy from him with excellent customer service. A further suggestion would be to call him and discuss exactly what you are looking for. He might be able suggest something to fill your needs more specifically. ...and there's always the SBG discount you'll get at AoV because you're an SBG member too.

yea i looked at that site and the sword wasnt much good looking except the twinkle and icingdeath, i was gonna get those two off reliks cause they sell cool looking amulets, but on second though, i would have to clean the sword from time to time even tho i dont play with it, so am kinda lazy and dont do that much, i was going to get this www.trueswords.com/secret-agent-sword-full-tang-p-589.html sharp and sturdy thats what am looking for, but i would like it to be non-black, and a little bit more expensive. because this sword looks like it would break if it hits something hard...

Stainless steel swords are for hanging on walls and looking at.(with a couple of rare exceptions). Hitting ANYTHING with them is asking for a trip to hospital or the morgue. The Kit Rae stuff is the beter quality wallhangers. Better only in fit and finish, they are still non -functional. the tip on that secret agent sword just screams"SNAP!" it you hit something with it. Dont beleive the whole battle ready/chop iron/mall ninja hype.Stainless is for looking at.

www.trueswords.com/advent-children-buster-sword-removable-blades-final-fantasy-p-2904.htmlthey sell clouds sword but i dont really like it. so am looking for a....sharp and sturdy sword or blade (no katanas) and as good looking as possible, i would take those wall hangers for looks, but sometimes i would like to have a little fun too, so i guess i cant go with stainless steel, the reason am not buying a real sword is that *non* of them looks good, ive checked all the recommanded sites on this site and i find that replica dungeon sells nice looking swords, but i dont think they work, i guess my best choice is icingdeath....and if i like it i would get the other piece also, but how long do i have to clean a sword from time to time?

just a wipe down with an oily cloth is all they need after you touch the blade or (dependling on the climate your in) once every month or so.Humid areas or if your by the sea its worth doing more often.

doublex: luciendar is a push tang or a rat tail as far as i remember, it is not a sword you would ever want to swing around but it looks pretty. How much are you looking to spend and what exactly are you looking for? Most fantasy swords aren't functional. Depends what you are looking for. Two swords i can think of that you might like are the agent sword from the movie serenity and the sword and axe combo from serenity. The agent sword as far as i remember is one piece carbon steel construction as are the sword and the axe. Will see if i can find you some links. Depending how much you want to spend and if you are a G.I Joe fan windlass released snake eyes and storm shadow swords. Here is quite an awesome sword if you are an ultraviolet fan; www.trueswords.com/ultraviolet-sword-full-tang-triple-edged-engraved-movie-p-2396.html

Depends on what you're looking for in a sword mate Battle ready and fantasy are often* oxymorons * - Not always...just moreso in the fantasy department.

I've got the Master Replicas Peter's Sword from the Chronicals of Narnia. See Link masterreplicas.com//store/narnia/narnia/8525/I can vouch that it is sturdy as anything and will suit backyard cutting purposes with no problems. It does need to be sharpened, but has a fairly fine edge so its easy to sharpen. It also looks a treat. If cutting I recommend taking the ring off the midle of the grip. I like the books so it suits me. That Drizzt sword looks sweet for those who like the elven style.

well i was going to get the drizzt's icingdeath, it seems like the ONLY few.....weapons that suits me, then i found this site on this forum /index.cgi?board=fantasyswords&action=display&thread=1167719665 and i found this sword on the site jodysamson.com/images/swords/5-14-07/fantasy-leaf-blade.jpg The blade is deeply hollowground of 1/4" 6150 steel. The mild guard and pommel are "lost wax" castings from one-of-a-kind original waxes hand-carved by Jody. The castings have been darkened. Grip and leather wrap by Shan-Aan. Overall length: 38.5" Blade Length: 28.5" Weight: 3 lbs 2 oz Morghon Fantasy Leaf Blade... $1,300 for its price, i could buy it, but am not too sure if its worth it, like top quality and everything.

Somehow, I thought the Narnia sword was made by Windlass. Did Windlass also make one, or did they make them for Master Replicas? Or did I just imagine the whole thing?
