That celtic wolf from odinblades is exquisite, the only way i would buy from samson is if i could handle the sword before i bought it. If I couldn't, i wouldn't buy it because i wouldn't want a 2000 odd dollar wallhanger. Having said that i would like to get the blade on the seaward copied with the physics of a sword in mind.

Heavy or no, If I had a buttload of money, I'd get me a couple of them swords from the Conan movie.

Jody's woork is awesome without a doubt. I don't own one of his swords, but I do own one from his apprentice, Shan-Aan Northrop (who does most of his handle wraps). And believe me, its an absolutely awesome blade.

John's work is outstanding.... This sword is in the running with Pownings Cruelstriker for THE BEST SWORD IN THE WORLD OH MY F*CKING GOD! (pardon my french ^^) That is THE most beautiful sword i have EVER seen in my ENTIRE life!!! Those longer leaf blade swords (with this type of geometry) really turns me on! (in a very normal, sword collecting exitement kidna way ;D) The nicest sword geometry there is. Too bad i'm such a poor sob, that sword has gotta cost a fortune and then some! I will have a sword like that! Some day... You just wait and see...

these swords are absolutel stunning, and i think at £500-600 for a custom made one of a kind sword is reasonable...
i WILL be buying one of these within next 6 months. I just cannot bear to not have one. they are amazing and Im having trouble picking one out as they all look so nice???!

Justin,Lost wax casting has been around for a couple of thousand years at least. The original design is made in wax. This is then covered with the mold material, leaving a few gates. The hot metal is then poured into the mold, and the metals burns out the wax which is flows out one of the gates or is turned to vapor. This leaves the core which will be in the exact shape of the wax master. Properly done and with care and you get very good results with little or no cleanup. thanks for the info thats pretty interesting. Have to say these are so really nice looking swords, though the prices are a lil steep

I wouldnt say the price was steep, in fact for the quality art your buying his prices are very reasonable. Remember everything is handmade including sculpting the fittings and they are usually one of a kind. How much an hour is that kind of work worth? Compared to a fully mounted custom japanese swords they look even better value.

John Lundemo of Odinblades was/is a member of another forum I am on he has always seemed like a stand-up kind of guy and I have never heard anything bad about his product, I doubt you would go wrong ordering from him.
