This forum snaps along like a good thing- thanks Paul!
One thing though... it doesn't "remember" me. I have to log in each time I visit even though I select the "remember me" option.
I tried deleting board cookies, logging out and back in again... nothing.
Just a heads-up bug report.

Sounds reasonable, Findlithui. Guess we'll just have to wait till they get arount to fixing that bug. I'm sure Paul has bigger fish to fry first.

Anyone know why pictures are cut in half by the boarders of the forum? Like they were zoomed out automatically in the last forum. Here they get cut in half?

When I go to different threads, I have to log in again. Also, why didn't the whole review index make it? The archery index too.

Love how fast the new site is, love the coloring on the old better. The only problem I've run into is with the pictures. Most of the pics are only being displayed as question marks, you have to click on the pics to see them. Would love to see this fixed! :mrgreen: thanks for everything. The forum is the best.

Something that really should be addressed is the search function. It has a habit of ignoring every keyword you type in for being too common, rather than searching for incidents of them being found together.

for instance, when I try to search for "who makes good spears", looking specifically for the old thread with the title, "Who makes good spears?" /thread/34390 it ignores the words "makes", "who" and "good".

Not a fan of the white. Hope something warmer can be arranged.
Oh well, I suppose this will do for now.

Just a quick one - don't worry, this is not the final 'look' of the forum (or the main site for that matter) - first the engine, then the paintjob. The cookies MAY be working better now so this should help with the log out issues. Let me know if not and we will take another look. The image problem should be fixed shortly. Everything else has been noted and we will work through them as we go. But keep the reports coming and we will keep on doing our best to fix 'em! Thanks for bearing with us all. - Paul

I just opened up the forumand I was still logged in, I had kept hitting the "Log Me In Automatically" button in hopes that it would eventually work and it did. Excellent. Thank you so much for all the work you put in to make this playground for us.

Its nice to have a fast, clean, new place. Thank you. Thanks for fixing the login, My only other issues are the already stated cosmetics. The white is Very bright(got used to that nice relaxing tan background), not using the whole width of the screen, and words being too jumbled together in the index and posts as in hard to distinguish titles, authors, quotes, signatures and such.

this isn't really about a fix needed due to the changeover but--
in the classifieds we always get sales being posted in the main branch of that sub, and in the "items for sale" branch (the next sub down). It might be better to remove one of these locations from being able to be posted in so we don't have ppl missing sales, and so sellers aren't tempted to post in two locations (as I just did). It would make things clearer for all those surfing the classifieds.
I'd leave the main classifieds page for stickied items only and only allow posting the the sub forums within... but that's just my way of thinking :)

I have another complaint. Sometimes this new setup is so fast I don't even realize the page has changed after I've clicked the button and I wind up waiting and thinking, oh no, not this again!! Yes, that's right, it's now too fast..... no but seriously, it's very fast. Thanks!

Everything looks peachy-keen on my end, if we could just get the pesky pics straightened out...

Here's the CSS I'm using with Chrome's Stylebot extension:
div.content blockquote { background-color: #adbdde; margin: 12px; padding: 14px; }
blockquote div cite { margin: 0; padding: 4px; font-size: 18px; }
img.reimg { max-width: 100%; }
#wrap { min-width: 850px; }
#wrapper { margin: 0 auto; width: 1160px; }
You'll probably want to ditch the #wrap and #wrapper stuff if you like the narrow column stuff (seriously, 960 width ??).

While we're at it - I can't get subscription e-mails working. I am not notified about new posts in threads I'm subscribed to.
Is it something on my side, or another forum "thing"?

We are getting there - slower than anticipated as there have been a few extra bugs that need swatting, but hopefully it will all be straightened out soon..!
Thanks for your patience folks.
