Thought I'd add this picture, gives you a good indication of size.

These fittings suit this blade very well!

I think this might be the place to ask... :
How reliable and durable is the Windlass Uldberht?

Viking and Viking inspired swords are my favorite types. ;-)

Is that the Irish viking sword I see in one of those pictures? If so, how do yo like it?

I don't have one in the pictures but did have a Hanwei Irish Viking. Gave it and the KC Viking to a fellow forum member.
It was just too small and light for me and the stainless fittings or whatever they use just does not look right to me. The Hanwei lobed Viking has the same type of material on the fittings.......
I did not like how the fuller terminated before the guard on the KC but it was a good sword.

Ya know, I liked the look of that design and thought about getting one. I like shorter, lighter swords so it would have been in my wheel house. Looks like they are discontinued now so, bummer, I missed the boat.

Those scabbards look great. Well done. I really like the suspension belts. The whole project in both cases looks great.

Thanks! I tried to make the Hanwei Viking scabbard look thicker, so I ran leather strips down the sides to beef it up a bit.
