Just put this one on order with Arms of Valor. Has anyone else bought one of these??? Anyone have feedback on Valiant? Overall Length: 28.00" Blade Length: 19.75" Handle Length: 4.00" Handle Material: Macassar Ebony & Brass Cross Guard: 3.50" Blade Material: Hand hammer forged carbon steel Weight: 2 lbs. 10 oz. I was leaning towards the Gen2 but I thought I'd try this one first (smaller Maintz pattern blade) and maybe do a future review on this one. Seriously any feedback would be appreciated on this one. Thanks.

Ahhh, I been eyeing that one for a while. I'd welcome a review. As to Valiant, I have their older model viking. Here's my review; /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=1188150609 They are under new ownership since this viking was made I think. At anyrate good strong weapons, imo, especailly the shorter blades, some tang issues with the longer ones, tsafa has some reviews on his site. I like the look of that gladius.

Have received this Gladius from Valiant arms by way of Arms of Valor (excellent delivery time on this as well, 2 day delivery for 3day service[ordered Sunday, delivered Wed.]).
Initial impressions are mixed. Very nice looking sword but not much in the way of battle ready. Review is forthcoming. I'll probably finish it up this weekend.

Thank you for the order. I am looking forward to seeing how this sword does in your review. I know that Sonny at Valiant has been working hard to improve the quality on the Valiant line.

I've recently received this one and really like it actually. Looks really nice, and is light as a feather. Very fast in the hand, though it suffers from the typical rounded grip which makes it track a bit funny. I haven't cut anything with it yet - but I imagine it will be a pretty good blade overall. Look forward to your impressions and review centurion!

I've heard the "rounded grip" complaint before. does anyone know how the grips were shaped on actual historic versions?
