Hello all, and as my very first post, I shall review the Hanwei Mercenary sword! I have had this sword for over a year, and I have used it for practicing forms, exercise and showing off...haha!. In all, it has held up very well. Sadly, even though I have a decent sword, I don't have a decent camera, so bear with me. I can remember, just a few weeks after receiving this sword and practicing indoors, I decided to try overhand swings...in my apartment. here is where it's strength is apparent: Call me stupid, but as I stabbed the sword into the air to bring it down in a mighty swing....I stabbed it through the roof instead....I stood there with my mouth hanging to my knees, seeing a sword sticking into the roof...I slowly pulled it out and patched that area up as best I could, but the scar is kinda hard to mask. I didn't learn any better, and repeated the mistake...people started knocking my door to ask my what the loud thudding noises were... Lastly, as proof of it's durability, it could chop up a tillering tree made of this incredibly hard wood... The sword itself: The sword is about four feet long, with a three foot blade. the blade is very thick, and has an abrupt edge, making it about chisel-sharp. here is a picture of the sword and it's scabbard In all, the sword is a beast! it weighs around 4 and a half pounds, and has a very beefy blade, and a beautiful pommel and "s" curved guard. You may need to sharpen the blade a bit, but otherwise it is a definite keeper!

Woah, that's a great, yet reckless, way to test the durability  That's a nice sword if it survived a hit from the ceiling

I used to have one of these and it was a good sword. Had to work the edges quite a bit but for the price, a good and solid sword.
I have places in my sword room ceiling like that. :-)

I've nicked the ceiling a couple times, but never actually stabbed it
