Thanks for the spirit of the reply ... I really appreciate the sentiment... but noone is debating how to arrange chairs on a sinking ship.
The t-shirt deal has been in the works since before the tomohawk project. It is something that was going to happen anyway, just now we need to try to make it help offset this.
There are NOT going to be any donations. It isn't my choice , it is Paul's ruling. Somehow other boards get away with donations... but the last time SBG tried , PayPal very nearly pulled the plug on our account and very nearlt seized the money.
Paul is reaching into his own pocket this week... deeply... to move the forum. It is supposed to happen this week. Hopefully the tshirts when they come eventually would be a good way for us tpo help pay him back,

I tried to elude to why donations and auctions were not acceptable options in the other thread about this... the T-shirt idea is the only viable way Paul has to try and re-coup some of the money this is going to cost him. Like Marc... I appreciate the impassioned plea on behalf of SBG... but there are always other considerations to think of.

Yeah...Paul is not going to accept donations in any form. The SBG store needed to refund me some money and I offered for them to keep it ( almost $70) for the forum server repairs and Paul refused and gave me store credit instead.
Stand up guy and stand up forum which is why I love this site
Just slap the SBG logo on a V-neck Tee and I am all over it

Or... we could just buy swords :) That way no need to wait for the shirts to show up in the shop. And this *is* a sword forum, not a t-shirt forum. I for one would rather have 1 good $300 sword than a bunch of $30 t-shirts.
I'm just assuming that the margins are such that Paul gets as much from a sword as he would from a T.

Yea... I just wish SBG store had VA Kriegschwert in stock. Or that Atrim Long Practical.
I would have supported Paul already :).

And I wish he had a Jian with plain fittings and long handle (not the round kind like Han Jian).
Or a Dadao similar to the Hanwei Warlord.

I would be honored, look really cool, in an SBG t-shirt or hoodie! This is the only guild to which I belong filled with such stand up folks. I salute you all and one.

I were working on a project that if it goes well should help pay for the move... but things have gotten so bad, that there is no time to wait . As such , Paul will be bearing the brunt of the cost and paying up front, and hoping to recoup losses on the project. ...................... Post Unlimited classified website

The forum is faster today than it has been in months. Has the transfer to a new server taken place?

I used to own, build, and operate various diffierent discussion forums of various topics. Not sure where your server is hosted from, but I do know of a server company that is cheap ($20/mo), and allots a terrabyte of bandwidth monthly. 5 urls can run off the 1 account no problem. If y'all are interested PM me and i'll send you link to the server host.
