I'm in! And I 2nd on a black T-shirt.......Hell if there is black and white T-shirts? I would get both.
Plus I think it would be cool, if everyone is wearing a SBG T-shirt and my next meet up.......That would be a cool group photo.

I'm sure I'm not yet considered a 'forum member' yet (still reading furiously), but I'd buy a shirt or 2...as long as its cool to cut the sleeves off?...heh heh heh. :D
I was ready to give up on the forum, but now that I know prob will get fixed...looking forward to more reading!

If a shirt is what works, bring on the shirts!

I'll take a t-shirt or two. I'd like to donate, if possible, but I'll settle with those tees.

Deepbluetshirt - count me in for a couple as well, shame we could not get these in time for Christmas as I have 12 nieces and nephews I could have kitted out :)

I would be in, maybe I could help all the Aussie customers shirts to come over together, unless that's too complicated!

Right. So being new round here I wasn't aware of the history. Was thinking in terms of sunk costs and overhead about the most efficient way to raise $.
Anyway, if it is a hassle to donate or do a raffle then whatever is decided I'd be glad to help.

Sorry for the long absence, though I doubt many noticed it...
My ability to enter into the realm of sword collecting has been based solely on the information provided on sbg and the sbg forum. For that reason (and I am sure my wife would say otherwise) I am eternally indebted to SBG and all those who make it possible. Despite not posting very often, I am reading and absorbing all of the tidbits of knowledge thrown up on a daily basis. So much good stuff that I will likely never catch up, but that's what is so great about this site/forum. I never have much in the way of extra cash, but I can certainly justify a couple tee's for the cause. Maybe we can do some kid sizes, and I can don my 5 daughters in SBG garb...?
Anyway, thanks everyone for making this forum what it is.

is there any way to have quoted posts stand out better?

..other than editing them ourselves (colour etc.)

To fix the post width problem change the file light.css line 103 from:
.component-pad { padding: 0 15px 15px; }
To:
.component-pad { padding: 0 0 15px 15px; /*removes the spurious right indent*/ }
And add the following to fix the text cut-off problem in the "Last Post" box:
dd.lastpost { white-space: normal !important; /*override the "white-space: nowrap" attribute coming from style.php*/ }
The colored background for quotes is being overridden by the defaults in light.css and in the computed values in style.php; respectively.
In order for regular quotes to appear with a colored background the key "blockquote" should be removed from light.css line 1 and also from the source for style.php near line 3491:
html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, blockquote, pre, a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code, del, dfn, font, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp, small, strike, sub, sup, tt, var, center, dl, dt, dd, ul, li, fieldset, form, label, legend { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; border: 0 none; font-family: inherit; font-size: 100%; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0; outline: 0 none; padding: 0; vertical-align: baseline; }
This will kill the forced "transparent" color attribute and allow the default background colors and images to show up for a quote box.
But what do I know?

This is Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) code; it needs to be programmed into the message board; you cannot change this on your local machine.

Hopefully the width fix will come soon, as I'm getting really frustrated with the current width and photos cutting off.
That is the one issue that drives me close to crazy. And the fact that 50% of my screen is white useless space. I'm not a big fan of narrow formats in sites, and I guess the fact that I have widescreen monitor with small resolution just makes it worse...
I don't like to complain and nag about things, and this probably ain't a thread for this, but just had to let off some steam. :)

I have been having a problem this morning getting on the forum. When I click on to get to the forum, from the main page I get the ''The webpage can not be found'' (HTTP 404 Not found).
I found away to get on from SBG Sword forum user control panel from my new tab.

There may be a problem with your browser cache. If possible, flush that or try a different browser (which you don't normally browse SBG on) and let me know if you have the same issue.
Edit: As I mentioned in the announcement, I will also be making some adjustments in order to finally implement the things that have been requested and approved, so you may see some slow-downs and some oddities on the site for the next week or so.
