Well, let's not rush things. Wouldn't think of it. Just thinking ahead..... For my wife and I, it's the siren voices of the Gen2 Witham River Viking and the High Elven King in all steel calling loudly to us..... And then there's that Jian I want, when/if I find one that really hits my switch. I've been looking at Hanwei's selection and drooling.....

I would definately be interested in this sword after Christmas. I'm mostly a bastard (or so I'm told) kind of guy but have been looking for another single hander. This one looks good. Really prefer a peened pommel though.....

It's his milling machine, which he uses to make swords (for us and others) and other things for the Navy. What those "other things" are, I don't know. Ask Gus.

I assumed you meant the explosive underwater self-propelled missile. I have no idea what the other one is, either. And I knew you didn't mean a cigar (the torpedo is my favorite shape, although the toro is nice, too) for pretty obvious reasons.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, tho I don't smoke unless I'm on fire.

As Kipling so aptly observed: "A good cigar is a smoke." ;D On a more swordly note, the anticipation grows, and I keep looking for the FedEx guy.......... SBG ATrim, where are you? ?

Ok swords are going out but I've heard nothing. Havent been asked for balance or adress, whats going on? Mine was pre-paid, so I don't expect to hear anything until FedEx shows up. My assumption is that Mr. Trim is up to his ears with s**t. Might want to give him a jingle (e-mail) and ask him "Whassup?"

Mine was kind of a prototype in that I asked Gus to send it without the black fuller and without too much concern for aesthetic finish. The photos don't show it, but the final polish (grinding) was partly skipped on mine. I believe that's what he's hard at work on now.
Not that I know when the rest will ship. He just told me the first two (the ones with scabbards) were about ready. That's when I asked him to go ahead and send mine "in the rough" so to speak.

Essentially, patience is the order of the day. Gus is hard at work, and there have been several unforeseen difficulties, etc. We just need to relax and let the man do his work. This has not been easy for me, but I'm getting better at it!!!

I'm in the same boat. My 1502 from the Machine Sale will take even longer though, since mine was one of three that Gus accidentally botched a few months ago. That was what prompted his complete overhaul of his system, and creation of the "Maker's Mark" line.

Every time I start to antsy now, I just remind myself that he's bustin' his buns and he's faaaar more agitated about the delays than we are. The guy CARES. This lets me chill out and go do something useful. ;D

I understand that all the SBG 1315s have either gone out or are about to. Last week there were 6 left to ship. Who's already gotten theirs and who's still waiting?
And if you have it, how to you like it?
