Thanks for the quick response white feathers but i was after somwhere alittle closer to home that way i dont have to pay so much in shipping costs. i did have good look at the mas site and was really tempted , for some reason the sword n armory ones look inferior quality, but that could just be my misunderstanding !!!

If you are looking for Korean made kageom, the closest one is Korea itself. Since you didn't mentioned, which korean sword art you practise, perhaps you can contact this supplier in Korea swordzone.com/index.phpI bought my kageom from there 5 years ago (back then the name of the website is coreasword) , not a top notch quality to make you " wow" but at least within reasonable price and reasonable quality for practise use everyday. My kageom was made of carbon steel 1045 ( I suspect ), straight blade with "slight" wavy lines throughout its body, it served me well till today. My only serious complaint was the gumjip , which was too light. I had it replaced with a sturdier one before it breaks apart, I still kept the original though. The guy in the marketing is Mr Moon, reasonable command of English , at least to do a deal. Another one is shopjune.cafe24.com/This one is Kuhapdo oriented , I never bought anything from them, but based on my browsing, they might have reasonable Kageom there , either for Kuhapdo practitioner , and I think they have some kageom for HDGD practitioner as well. The third one is www.kumdomall.co.kr/src/main/indexpage.phpI also never bought anything from them, perhaps it is just for reference in case if you need price reference for more similar looking ones. I dont know how authentic you want the kageom is , if origin or nationality not an issue, Japanese made iaito is a good substitute also. Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth of information on kageom, I wish you all the best in hunting the best kageom.

Wow johan if that is 2cents i would like to know what you get for the full dollar . i finally bit the bullet and bought one from my kwanjangnim he offered a pay as i go scheme so i guess thats my hunt come to an end .thanks for the feed back . i stydy kummooyeh it's basically kumdo that brached off a little . It gets pretty hard finding anything in Australia unless you buy kendo gear and then they tend too look down their noses a little . But to quote a famous aussie outlaw "such is life " . thanks again !!!

You are welcome , madmandom, I am sure your Kwanjangnim picked the best one for you.
Oh you are in Kummooyeh , glad to know another person in KSA in this forum, I had seen their website before. I am in KSA too, related to Kummooyeh in some ways, I am a HDGD practitioner for 8 years and still running. I wish you the best and success in your training.

Been busy as of late thanks johan i did already have a kagem i myself have been' swinging' it around for 4 years but the whole reason for the new one was i have carpel tunnel syndrome it affects the wrists so i wanted one that was a touch lighter and better balanced so they dont ache as much . the one i got fits the bill almost perfectly..
