hello forum. long time sbg user... just decided to set up my forum account. so i guess i'm new here. anyhow, enough of that. I love DSA's lotr swords and lotr inspired swords. just recently having watched return of the king for the millionth time, it occurred to me that I would love to have faramirs sword. a one handed, simple yet very aesthetic fantasy sword. so after much hunting around, the closest i got was this: www.darksword-armory.com/1345.html this looks awesome! but, theres no option to purchase it, and you cant navigate to it from the DSA main website! ...darn :? If anyone of you all have info on whether this is still obtainable or whatever the deal is, that would superbly excellent. thankyouverymuch

You could try sending Eyal a PM here.. It may be that you stumbled on that when it's not yet meant to be up for viewing or for sale? Or maybe it's an older model, though I dont remember it, and I knew of DSA before SBG (though was not horribly familiar)

It's definitely an older model. Follow JHart's advice and send a message to Eyal about it if you're serious about getting one.

DSA has a number of swords that they've discontinued but still keep hanging around their website. Personally I don't find this version of the Faramir sword all that attractive, and would rather pursue it as a custom; the fittings just don't seem right.

ok, well thanks guys for all your help. @elheru, I agree, to some extent, that pommel and the chappe could really use some work... i must admit though, i don't mind the quillions, and I like the idea of a one handed sword with that kind of geometry. you don't see a whole lot of hollywood "knight" swords like that. in the end, I'm just looking for a good new fantasy beater. any opinions on the other DSA fantasys? (besides anduril and ranger, because i rly dislike how heavy they are)

I really digged that one. The specs seemed pretty reasonable as well. I never got enough money together before they discontinued it, though.
What's your price range? I've only handled a couple DSA swords, and I didn't like them at all. But I guess some are better than others.
