Awright, awright.
We ain't here burryin Mr Sinclair. He's turned in his executive producers "grand poobah" nametag in exchange for a bubba cap n one less multi task. ( I'd a kept the administrative job rather than more dirty diapers, but what do I know...)
This ain't Neverland. Just because you growd up doesn't mean you can't come back. Hope to see you here oncst n a while at least.
I'm just a piker who came along a few years ago; not one of the old guard. Have found this place to be a wonderfully democratic forum for edged weapon enthusiasts. You'all are the ones that made it so. Salute for that.

Daniel, you did a brilliant job for many years, and have earned the respect of many, including myself, for your dedication to the sword collecting hobby. It's been a pleasure getting to know you. While I know that our correspondence won't cease simply because the tag under your name changes, I would like to extend my personal thanks for the dozens of emails we have exchanged over the years. I have enjoyed your whit, advice, and confidence immensely. You, James, Marc, and Paul form the core of my personal pantheon of friends in the "virtual" world.
Best of luck in all of your future endeavors!

Hey, sorry guys I completely missed this thread for a few days...but, Dan, your's and Paul's reviews were the first I read here at SBG and I always enjoyed reading what you had to say about a particular sword. I've always felt that you've been one of the most personable guys here in your understanding responses to those of us who are less experienced...for that and much more I thank you, sir! Thanks too for helping to make SBG such a fun place to hang about!

Thanks to Sir Sinclair for being one of the reasons for the success of the forum that has become my favorite web site

The highest compliment that I feel I can offer Daniel is to say thatI have always sought to conduct myself on this forum in a manner similar to his.
As a co-conspirator I was happy to be able to offer something up for a pillar of the forum that has always been helpful, encouraging, and consistent across the board.
If it proves to be as they say, and Karma comes full circle, you are destined for greater things yet to come in life.
Play it cool, and be well.

Well guys, the Zombie Slayer has arrived - and it looks great! I can't wait to give it a proper review! I will post pictures as soon as I am able to do so.
Again, I can't thank you all enough, not just the cabal who made this amazing gift happen but also the forum members who made the last few years helping out such a pleasant experience. And thank you also to those of you who made personal comments here, I wish I had the time to write each of you back. I feel very blessed right now. I will post a farewell review as soon as I am able!
(And like Dave Kelly says - I'm not getting buried here, so don't worry! I'll be back...)

Thanks for all your hard work on the forum. It was your review of the Historical Excalibur Sword that made me wait a few years to get one when they dropped to under 100 bucks on MRL :-)
Seriously - thank you for your service to the sword community.

Gah, I'm always late for such things. Damn paperwork. Anyway, I think this is/was quite an awesome thing to do and once again reinforces my belief that this community just seems so "different" (stuff like the designing contests, making things possible like directly talking to people like Tinker, Sonny, Eyal, Brandon or John) in a good way.
I can also pretty much say the same as Travis did earlier, Daniel's and Paul's reviews were the first ones that I read that actually started getting me really interested in proper swords, so even though I have never actively interacted with you, Mr. Sinclair, I highly respect and appreciate your contribution to this community and wish you best of luck for your private life and career.

your wit will be sorely missed. your collectors corner writings have made my wife and i laugh until we almost hurt. if all else fails, you should go to a comedy club on amateur night. who knows....
