OP: I mean no offense, but please, for the love of all that is sane, edit your post with a spellchecker or something. I was barely able to sift through to find out what you wanted. By the way, your Google-fu is clearly weak as I found these images in about 3 minutes: What you're looking for is essentially a turcael, but with a basket similar to that of a schiavona. A turcael (Turk or "in the Turkish style") is a Scottish Basket Hilted Saber, such as this reproduction made by Vince Evans: Hers looks to be a cross between a schiavona and a mortuary hilt (particularly the pommel): You could talk to Arms & Armor about making something similar, but I can guarantee you right now that it will not be anywhere near 200$. They are, however, likely to be your cheapest option.

If you could barley make out what i was saying then your reading comprehension fu is weak! i was in a hurry when i typed it up. and 3rd your Google fu sucks as well go watch the movie that is not the sword she used in the last part of the movie that sword you pulled up is what she used in the first half. And if you don't like my post and fell the Need to call me out publicly on my miss spelling or any thing else. Just don't even read my post.Well offense was taken. If you would have sent a pm to tell me about my spelling then it would be different. But the tone of your post came off offensive

I'm a writer and a bibliophile. Poor English skills are very offensive to me, so we're even.
Neither my abilities with Google, nor my reading comprehension, are the issue here. I found extensive references for the sword I believed you to be looking for; the fact that I couldn't understand what you wrote is entirely your problem. You lack punctuation, save the occasional period, and a pulse is how you tell someone is alive; a plus is a bonus. To further confuse things, you bring up a completely unrelated sword, saying you like it, but don't want it. So why bring it up in the first place?
Lastly, I don't own Van Helsing, so I'm not going to waste my time downloading it just for a 20 minute segment.

OK so spelling is not my spelling is not my strong point. Where art is but you don't see me finding people bad art Offensive. and its funny your the only one that had to be rude about it. Others could read it. So again i would say work on your reading comprehension. But that fact is not that you sad something to me about my miss spelling. Its how you said it and there was no need to do it publicly a pm would have been fine. Ok and i bring up the one sword to show help people from not doing what you did and posted the wrong sword. There no need to go back and forth im not on SBG to fight or anything like that. I'm here because i enjoy the people and swords. so here is your fare warning. My spelling is bad and i do not always have time to spell check so if you are so offended by bad spelling. I would ask you just to skip over my post. That way there is no more hostility to come. You are the only rude person i have ran into on here! Every one else has been most helpful and nice and out of respect for them and SBG. I will end this here so it does not get blown up and felling don't get hurt. I would ask if any one ever has a a problem with me Plz send me a PM and i will try my best to fix it and work it out with you Thank you

You are welcome. I don't think it will be backordered for long at though.
Other vendors might have one in stock but perhaps not the price of KOA. If you decided to buy from other vendors, ask them if they have one in stock.

I may have been wrong in how I said it, but the fact that you need to slow down and type properly to ease communication is nothing but the truth. With that said, I was correct the first time. The sword that you are actually looking for is the one I posted. As proof, I present part 7 of 8 of the Van Helsing movie:
Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale) carries the sword I posted from her manor to Dracula's castle, wherein she draws it briefly, sets it down, and then promptly forgets about it. In part 8 of 8, she even goes so far as to remove her belt with the scabbard on it and it's not shown again, considering she dies at the climax of the movie. In point of fact, the third image I posted is from the Castle Dracula scene specifically, right before she spills the acid.

Thank you and you are right. The sword didn't look like it had that much of a Basket Hilt when i seen it in the movie. And all it would have taken was a pm to let me know about the spelling thing. and after seeing this sword closer its not what I'm looking for. i did how ever post in Renaissance and Military Sword. some swords I'm looking into and like. But hopefully we can moved past this with no hard felling's..

I think it's one of those things where it ends up you only see it so briefly that you can't really get a good look at it, which is one thing I hate about movie swords; you think it's one thing, which you like, then it turns out to be something completely different, which you don't. That's how I was with Kronen's tonfa-swords from Hellboy. You never really get a very good look at them since he spins them so much. Or Victor's sword from Underworld; you only get a brief glimpse of it. Then you see the actual things and you're like "what's this? That's not what it looked like at all!"

The second picture of the OP is a promotional photo, and as such it's fairly common to see swords not actually featured in the movie in those. Or rather, they *are* featured, just not necessarily used by the main character.
The sword in that picture, however, resembles the 'turcotel' or whatever enough that I'm guessing it's possibly a stunt weapon with rubber guards rather than the actual prop.
She also used a rather nice little hanger at one point, as I recall...
Now I'm half interested in seeing if we can dig up all the swords used in movies in the past few years, heh!

Holy crap, when the whole point of a message board is to communicate, you'd think people would actually make the effort to communicate properly! But apparently that's to much to ask...
