I'm not sure if this is where this topic belongs so if it doesn't sorry in advance. I'm really considering this sword. It may reminds me of a spatha. Though it's probably quite a bit long. From what I hear since it's made by Windlass it's fully functional and well put together... Anyone know anything asbout it or have an opinion.

Kingdom of Heaven Sword of Odo. 42 1/2" overall. 34 1/2" hand forged high carbon steel blade. Heavy wood handle with Germanic brass eagle inlay. Antique brass finish guard and pommel. Comes with display plaque and certificate of authenticity.
Only review I found was from Amazon:
This review is from: Kingdom of Heaven Sword of Odo (Misc.) I purchased this sword through Museum Replicas directly. It's my favorite in my whole collection. Kingdom of Heaven is my most favorite movie and I really wanted this sword. If you've seen the movie and have no idea who Odo is, he is the German "Viking" in Liam Neilson's troop, you know, the big guy who gets a crossbow bolt through his neck...and keeps on going! This sword is much heavier than the other broadswords you will find, almost 4 pounds! The center of balance is about four or five inches from the hilt, so it's a little imbalanced. If the grip where a little wider, then this might have countered this problem. My thought is that the heaviness and foreward balance of the sword is ment as a reflection of the Odo character from the film. If you are a fan of this movie, I'd say don't let this one slip away! Really good, officialy licenced replicas from Kingdom of Heaven are getting VERY rare!

Loved the movie, but none of the replicas strike me as being worth the pricepoint..
Most Importantly: Are you looking at this for a Spatha like sword, or as a Movie Replica? That amazon review makes me think it wouldn't be worth a whole ton for cutting.

It's not very good. You are not going to be able to really swing it around at all. It comes very blunt. The sword looks like a stock bar just rounded at the tip. the handle is pretty but will not fit your hands (it's massive)
If you really must have one, I've been definitely trying to get rid of mine for around $85ish. still has the certificate and plaque pm me if you must have it, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it (it's only decorative...unless you're Conan)
