I thought you Swordies would appreciate this little tidbit. Blizzard, the game company responsible for the Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo series', does something pretty damn cool for it's employees. us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/ab ... hield.html When someone has been with the company for 5 years, they get a sword. 10 years is good for a shield. 15 years is represented by a ring, and this year is the first year people will be celebrating 20 years. The swords change every year, and always seem to be a wallhanger. The 10 year award is a custom shield bearing the Lordaeron crest, the symbol of one of the great Kingdoms of Humans in the Warcraft universe. I couldn't find any pictures of the rings. All said and done, even though they're just wallhanger swords, that's the most badass form of employee recognition I've ever seen. I'm coming up on 5 years with my company, and I'll get a stupid watch. Maybe I can get them to spring for a blade instead

I don't know if swords in the workplace jives with OSHA policy.
That said, I think that is pretty freaking cool. I always though Blizzard was an awesome company, and this just makes me think that moreso.
