Maybe Dave Kelly is the best person to answer this question. What is the sword used by the famous Light Brigade in the Battle of Balaclava?

Might need some verification but Military Heritage claims that "about half" of them carried the 1853 LC pattern. No idea what the other half carried.

Hi: Two standards in place at the time of the Crimean War. The standard was the P1821 ight Cav Saber: The 1853 was just being introed:

I read at one place, I can't remember where, that one of the trooper carried a 1796 light cavalry saber.
