Google and Bing fails me. Thanks. I was thinking that it was a sword with two blades side by side. Though I do not know how such a sword could work or if it could work.

Chinese butterfly swords, not to be confused with Filipino butterfly knives, are carried side by side as one but when drawn are used separately.

I wish that I could remember the movie, but there was this one sword that had two blades side by side but were completely connected to one tang. I really doubt that such a sword would work. The blades would have to be offset from the tang or the tang would be so wide that it would make it unwieldy to use. Then again, I am no sword expert. I am barely a novice.
