*update* Picture Heavy! I just did tsukmaki on my MAS and checked the samegawa wrap, which to my relief is a full wrap. I did the tsukamaki with grey tsunami ito from SNA and it feels very good in the hands now XD *the original tsukamaki was not glued, it was just extremely tight. It feels like the actual material is more like synthetic ito. For some reason as it was not soft on the hands like cotton should be (or at least the kind I am familiar with). Anyways, top marks for the tightness of the tsukamaki, though the actual diamond crossovers and evenness could use a bit of work.* Here are pics... New handle- Koiguchi- Tsuba- Habaki- Blade- The handle measures at 11.25 inches including the fuchi/kashira. The handle shape is in riko (hourglass) sugata, which I absolutely love! Blade- measures in at 27.25 inches from the hamachi. 28.4 inches from the tsuba. The tsuba (I'm not sure if you can tell by the pics) looks like it is hand carved/chiseled because I can see the little marks left by chisels, which is very nice and add a much more personal feel to the blade. Habaki- double plated, though not in the japanese style as mentioned in my video review Saya- fit is perfect and I really like the shape and thickness/width Overall- There are minor things which I would change, but you cannot change excellent craftsmanship! 10 stars to MAS and Stephan! Thanks for looking guys!

The wrap looks great. The diamonds look very nice. To be honest, I like a little variation in the diamonds(just a tiny bit,) to keep it interesting. That is one of the nicer MAS katanas I've ever seen. Member/Moderator Ecovolo has a really nice one as well. Those Koshirae look great.
