I'm not sure if this go's here but just stumbled across it on you tube & thought it may be of interest. The Shura is the first blade I've owned without a HiBo. I thought the blade to be a little on the heavy side but after watching this Clip I've decided I simply need to practice more.

is it just me or has the tsuka of the shura in the clip been modified?

That sure doesn't look like cotton ito to me. I compared to my shura and his tsuka seems a tad bit longer than mine. Mine is with bohi and is easily one of my fastest, most maneuverable blades. Love that 9260!

A tad bit is a bit of an understatement, if you'll pardon the shameless literary device.
It's quite long, and reminds me of one of John Williams' gigantic tsukas.

I do have a psych degree, but we never discussed tsuka envy. I must have it because I'm planning on building a 14 incher one for my shura. Maybe then a longer tsuka for me will be a 'shura' thing! ........ok, that really wasn't funny......

I have a shura that I haven't even cut with yet. But it feels good in the hands. Mine is the no bo version. Weird though, I have a Musashi Mouko. It is a 1060 mono TH blade with bo hi same dimensions, but it feels just as heavy as the 9260 with none.
