Hello All. This is an essay extracted from a book which was written by THE most learned sensei in Shinto muso ryu jodo , today. The author is my teachers teacher and is very refined in his sword and staff fighting. Jodo is a koryu , which is an unchanged 600 year old Japanese art, thats primary weapon is the 50" Jo. However since it was developed against a sword-attack, we learn the sword as the other 50 per cent of our training. ( For a more detailed description of Jodo, its probably best you Wiki it, as I'll just blab on for ages and probably bore you to death !) koryu.com/library/tnishioka1.htmlIn my opinion, this essay should be read by anyone wishing to pick up a Japanese sword !

Cheers mate, ;D. Its good to share the knowledge. My sempai is a very aged gentleman and he talks endlessly of Nishioka-sensei's wisdom. In Japan, there is a society that teaches his lifes works called Seiryukai. Very indepth stuff ! . True bushido.
