Well.. Pretty sad to say it but the girlfriend and I are going our separate ways. She doesn't like swords so giving this back to her isn't an option. But i'm debating parting with it and just giving her the cash. If it ends up going that way it will be posted here and only here. Again, just a possibility so nothings for sure.

Bummer man. I can see how keeping it would be pretty hard to look at. If you do decide to let it go, throw it up in the classifieds section, I'm sure someone would be willing to help you out.

So, this, your most favorite sword from one of your favorite works of fiction, is now ruined because of a break up?
Dude, keep the sword, pay her if she'll take the money. If not, it's still your sword.
If it were a shirt, yeah get rid of it. Wallet? Yeah, donate it to goodwill.
But this is a sword. I don't have any doubt that you've learned a thing or two about yourself during this relationship. Keep the sword and let it remind you of the good times, and the things you've learned. It sounded like this was a clean break, so I can't see how getting rid of the sword will make things better.
And years from now, (since this is your favorite sword) you might want to buy one for yourself, but then you think "no, it reminds me of so-n-so, and I got rid of that other one.
Don't let some girl ruin your hobby.

The lumberjack speaks wisely Trust me when I say don't let a woman's memories haunt you from your joy. You let it happen with this blade, it won't heal the pain. If anything in my experience, the absence of the object reinforces the memory in an even worse way.

I appreciate the kind words and you guys are right, im very much over everything that happened, and have been for a while. Its true it is among my favorites, but shes not the reason im getting rid of it, I plan on using it to find my cichlid aquarium (which i already set up and it cost a bit more then i thought it would) My feelings on selling it are kind of neutral, if it goes, yay money, if it doesnt, yay sword lol i hope that make sense lol Your both very wise by the way
