This is my #1 the only sword I had custom made to exactly what I wanted.I've had it for about 8 years now and I dont think I ever posted it or did a review.Their are a lot of skilled sword artists here on the SBG but a name you dont hear is Michael Rader the maker of 75% of my sword Draco. The bronze dragon skull casting for the pommel and the dragon scales of the guard were carved by David Blue.I havent heard from David for some time he had just gotten up a website called Barbarian blades when after a few swords he got out of it,he could carve and cast like a master. After the bronze's were done the whole thing was shipped to Michael Rader who made the blade (with the bottle opener on the blade  ),the handle and incredible scabbard are carved from the same piece of curly maple (great figuring)and Michael put the whole thing together.I wish I had some better pictures but it cuts like a razor and is very well balanced.BTW does anyone around here have anything from Michael Rader I dont think he made to many swords compaired to most of the other craftsman we talk about. The dragon scales are done different as front and back sides of the scales. Sorry bout all the pics but I couldnt find one that was good by itself. Thanks all.

I don't have anything from Jody... have wanted something from him for a long time. Then when he passed away... I knew I'd never get anything custom but I still wanted at least one of his blades. I've seen them pop up from time to time in the second hand market... but I was either too broke, too slow, or the sword in question was not my style. There was one I really wanted... but it sold a bit ago so I was out of luck again. I hope I get the chance to own one of his blades someday.

Dam do I feel like an ass I was looking at some of the jody blades I used to own and I wrote Draco was one of Jodys swords. CORRECTION DRACO was made by Michael Rader who is still around, thats why i asked if anyone else had either had one or ever looked at his stuff.Sorry all........ www.raderblade.com/

buliwyf. Um, wow.... My Grail sword would look like whatever Hughes de Payens used to patrol the road to Caesarea. Probably wasn't fancy. Mouse

Hey, I remember this guy. Dude made some of my old favourites way back: Good stuff. It's been so long since I looked his name up I'd kinda forgotten about him. I think I still have some pictures of his work somewhere on the old computer, though.

Thank you for the compliment. No offense was taken nor offered over comments on the Raven blades. I merely spoke up due to the fact that I have one, and they are kind of scarce.

four swords come to mind for me. first would be the sword of power from the he-man cartoons(he-man is what got me loving swords). second would be the sword of grayskull from the he-man movie. third would be sigfried's glam from soulcalibur 2&3(definatly smaller though). and fourth would be madmartigan's sword from willow.

He Man was what started it all for me. I was born in 76 so all I wanted for my 7th Birthday was He Man! Star wars was great and all but I loved the whole Barbarian theme more. I remember the early mini books with the first release of he-man he was just a wandering hulking barbarian on an alien world, rather than the prince of eternia in morphosis.
Regarding the sword - if you'd like it I will do a much better price on it. I've had it sitting here in my case for far to long. Time to send him on. I've never even cut with it though it's fully functional and sharp.

I would have to say that owing either one of these would impress me greatly. Attachments:

For me it would be either of these First pic is the Azure Azoth from Atelier Iris 2 and the second is the Dark Dragon Blade from Ninja Gaiden Black. Obviously the first one is impossible and the second (version in the middle) is vastly impractical but I love them nonetheless. (there is a "replica" of the DDB but it's so far beyond atrocious that you'd never bother)

you know in the first chapters the swords where actually realistically sized and then the swords started getting bigger and the chicks started getting hotter XD
