Hi all
Just a quick question , after some googling and not much luck I thought I would ask here , Anyone know of a sub $1000 Boromir sword that is functional and is currently still being made ?I only came up with the DSA version , but sadly I see its no longer made .

Functional and sub 1000? I think you're out of luck. You could get in touch with DSA though, they might be happy to run one off for you. Just be aware that pretty much every maker except United Cutlery tweaks the design in some direction away from the sword you see in the movies, so you aren't going to get an exact reproduction.

The Windlass Mercenary sword looks a lot like Boromir's sword. It is discontinued, but you can still find them on the secondary market. I believe the MSRP on them was $175. I have one of them and it is a fairly nice sword. It was one of the first hollow ground swords Windlass produced so if you find one, you don't want to sharpen it too much or you may get the blade too thin in spots and chip it. This blade definitely needs a working edge as opposed to a razor one. If you are ready to spend more than 300 $, I think you could try finding a custom sword-maker who would be ready to make that sword for you. It might cost close to 1000$ though, but maybe not. I think it would be worth your time shopping a bit in the ''custom lane''.

Ha ha , I plan on trying just that when I get around to getting a Boromir sword for myself ,but this is for my brother who doesn't want to spend more than $1000 currently ,besides I highly doubt Brenno could do a Boromir for under $1000 . Iv dropped DSA an e mail , so ill see what comes of that .

Get two made at the same time might get a discount, Edit - Have you seen Fable blades Boromir's Dagger now that is a combo worth buying. |
