Hello folks I am thinking about getting myself one or two Tops knives. For now, the place with the best prices that I have seen is www.discountcutlery.net . Did anyone here ever deal with them ? Are they a safe, reputable place to order from ? Thanks !

I think you may have the link wrong, Sebastien; when I click on it, all I'm getting is a search engine like site that popups when a domain name is expired.

It works now and I've looked through some of their stuff. They don't have several brands, but their prices seems too good to be true; 312$ for a VA Bristol? 260$ for a Signature Actium? I hate to sound pessimistic, but I was taught that when something seems too good to be true, it usually is. This is just my gut feeling after look around their site, but I personally wouldn't buy from them (assuming I had the money, that is); however, if someone else wants to give it a try, I would be very interested in hearing about them. That 312$ Bristol is just taunting me.

Ya know, looking over the products, it seems like everything else is higher priced then KoA. Shoot, even the H/T swords are still 40 bucks more then the non sale price at KoA.
Heck, I'd say use KoA's price matching to pick up the Bristol for a discounted price.
As far as reputable? Hrm. It seems that this is another "drop ship" company. I found their address, and they do have an office in the US, which is a tip of the hat in their favor. Most 'shady' companies don't even list an address. Also, they haven't come up on any consumer warning lists.
If I needed something from their site, I'd feel reasonably comfortable in ordering from them.

I'm checking 'em out only because of their prices for Tops knives. They sell them at a much lower price (like 10 to 30$ less) than knifecenter.com and have a large selection (which are, btw, usually 80 $ and more knives). Beside that, I agree, their prices for other products aren't better than other places. I am extra careful because I'm not used to shelving nearly 200 $ by buying just two knives

Email the guys at knifecenter and see if they'll do a pricematch.
"Hey, I've dealt with you in the past ... blah blah... but I've found a competitor with these prices... etc etc"
My money on knifecenter price matching.

This is a great vendor
I got my Spyderco Warrior from them. THEY CALLED me to say that this was not in stock ( I knew this when I ordered) and they offered me the black one ($50 to $70 more?) for the same price. I got the one one that I ordered in 2 weeks or so anyway.
I feel that this exhibits great customer service. When I e-mailed them about a concern/question about the plastic molding, they e-mailed me the response from Spyderco AND offered to pay for me to return it. I kept the knife I have nothing but very good things to say about them.
People that that can not or do not buy should not comment unless they deal with OR handle a knife from a vendor. too many people think they know everthing.
