Hello, Lately ive found myself wanting to get into archery. Ive done some looking around, and i find that i really like recurve bows. In particular, i like the wood colored single peice models, like these: PSE Blackhawk- $200 www.qualityarcherybows.com/files ... d/1037.jpg Samick Volcano- $230 www.tradtecharchery.com/Sources/ ... eid=318654 Samick Spikeman- $290 www.quicksarchery.co.uk/superbas ... b_kb80.jpg However, as you can see, the prices are a little high... So, my question for you guys is, Are there any nice recurve bows that are single peice, wood colored, around 60 inches long, and ~50 pounds of draw for around $100 ish? Thanks in advance for any help!

I have 2 recurves, an Indian Archery "Seneca" and a Browning. I bought them on eBay for about $50 apiece used. I've found a number of good recurves there over the years. My suggestion would be to check there. Also, if you have an archery shop nearby, go in and see what they have, occasionally there are good deals in such places.
Hope that helps, Alan

I'm in San Diego, CA and, just like you, been looking into taking up archery. What I've seen so far, $200 is about right for a decent, single piece recurve bow. In fact, the ones you've listed look like very nice pieces for the money.
I'll be interested in seeing what others have to say.

I have a piece I might sell to you, as I'll be getting a heavier draw soon. 60 lbs, cohise, and quite a fast bow too. Got it for $350, am will to let someone have it for $230.

Ha, no problem, just thought it would be nice not having to spring for a whole $390 dollars by itself, since a sale would help me greatly.
