Hello all, I was just wondering, what sort of point do you archers out there use for small game? If I am in an area where I know no deer are around, I will use field points, blunts, those things with little springy arms sticking out, etc.. But if I am sho'nuff deer hunting in sho'nuff deer country I will naturally have a broadhead on my arrow and if I by chance see a rabbit, then I will use it on him as well. But otherwise the small points listed above. What about y'all? Freebooter

I always use Judo Points (the springy arm things). The nice thing about them is the arms catch on brush and grass and prevent arrow loss if you miss. Sometimes you have to move in pretty quick to finish the kill, but IMHO, they're the best. Shooting a broadhead at a rabbit in the area where I live is a good way to screw-up a good broadhead. Maybe where you live it's all sand, but here in the mountains, a miss creates a really nice pretzel-shaped object.

V3™ Expandable Varmint Point I have been using this for a little while (I use both Carbon and Aluminum arrows in all my bows, Compound-longbows)

Hey Dodger, Yep, it is pretty sandy soil where I live, a little gravely in some places. But a time or two I have lost broadheads shooting at small game by missing and getting so stuck in a tree root or something that I had to unscrew my arrow and leave broad head. FB

I don't usually hunt, but for anything racoon sized, I use field points.

Thanks y'all. Earlier I said that if deer hunting and I see small game I just use the broadhead. But let me refraise that. If I have time, or depending on the scenario, I will switch arrows, as I carry both types, broadheads and small game, in my back quiver, sepratated by a devidor. FB
