Nice stuff Vince. Show us some pics if you have the time and the means to do so. I am curious about that Ka Bar Baconmaker and that Boker Klashni...ov folder.

Here is a poor picture of the KABAR Bacon Maker and the knife that came with it. Also is the Boker Plus Kalashnikov 10 Folding Knife 3-1/2"". I will have to set up a mini studio so I can get a lot clearer pictures. Attachments:

You do need to resize your pictures smaller please. Took forever to down load and wouldn't fit my 19in screen.

I fixed it. New camera and I had to use a third edit program.

From my very first tin knife bought at a flee market in 1980 for a quarter I have been a knife nut. I traveled to SMKW in Serveville TN and started a cheap knife collection. My dad gave a priceless (because he gave it to me) pearl case XX tri-folder the size of my pinky finger...at last a short and hoorible tale is it was ravaged along with my cheap collection many years ago by a cowardly bandit.
I have since then replenished it slowly with a slightly more costly and higher quality two or three folders and five or six fixed blades. I also have a few desighns I would love to share once I get them scanned. I am saving this year to have one brought to life. Many of my knives were made locally or handcrafted by a person and reflect their local color/flavor. I am also this year going to train a form of knife fighting, some form of silat...probably by email and video...but it is still training.
I also love my old Gil Hibben throwers...once while waiting for 11 months to have a bi-lateral knee replacements I became quite proficient...my biggest trick was I could turn the edge in any direction...I stuck three blades 1 inch apart into a thin broom handle held out by a very trusting friend.
That skill level is gone.
But I am a knife nut and look forward to sharing and reading you other nuts.
PS Would anyone be inrested in quoting a hand forged kinjal or something in a functional line to me. I would like it to have the curved style with the needle like point. Or quote a smaller job on a design I have had for sometime? I will scan and send the pics if you PM me. Very interested to see what is up with the Knife Nuts on the sword forum.

Thanks...this is really cool. I have been looking to expand my 'other style' blades...by that I mean get one. I have in mind a Cossack style kinjal but these may change my mind. Especially the antique section...affordable too.

No dramas guys, I am well chuffed with this site and its service and I am happy to see others get as much joy out of these blades. I've had one bad blade and I am pretty sure that was a lemon but I ended up getting it sorted. Their monosteel stuff is ridiculously cheap and really solidly and traditionally put together from what I understand. I got this one from them;

Gorgeous light blade, very sturdy and extremely rigid without being brittle and best of all the blade shape is one of my favourites. I will be buying more from them in future after I buy a few actual swords that I want. You'd never guess how much I paid for it, unless you already knew.

I also got a pair of blades from ValiantCo (you can check out their reviews in the old forum if you want). Like BW said, great quality for affordable prices. It you like those sorts of blades, check out valiantco's website.

Mine's better. Kind of wanting another from Valiant, but none are really hitting me just right these days. Exchange rate isn't as helpful, either.

As always, you suck . I have to disagree that yours is better this time though, the sheer level of detail that went into mine makes it a clear winner.

I just got: ONTARIO RAT7 RANGER BUSH SERIES RBS9 BLACK MICARTA,
I will have to post pics this weekend...I might have to work Christmas day so I may have to wait.
I ordered on 12/13 the following:
Smith & Wesson® Extreme Ops™ Fixed Blade with Micarta Handle S&W MICARTA BOWIE SCRADE EXTREME SURVIVAL BOWIE/POWDER COATED
On 12/18 I ordered:
SCHRADE HORSE BOWIE RED PICK BONE KABAR USMC FIGHTING SERRATED over 11 inches long. I already have the smaller version I know that I went with a number of Schrade's but a couple of mags had them as pretty durable for the price.
