I used to have the Spec Plus, it disappeared from my barracks room one day many years ago. Good knife.

I originally picked up my Endura for $40 Us at a chain sporting goods store back in the mid 1990's. I carried the sucker for years until it with missing from my foot locker one day when I was in Bosnia.

Nearly had a tear of joy there... Lots of nice large knives in that pic. If you have the time and desire to do so, you could make reviews out of these
I already own an Ontario Spec plus Tanto, 7 or 8'' blade and I should soon receive an Ontario Marine Raider Bowie. Later, I hope to get a Becker BK9 and one of those Ontario big Ranger knives.

The Outcast really shines with a convexed edge, a right nasty chopper for relatively few coins.

Here's a new knife I will likely get. Introducing the new Spyderco Resilience folding knife, nearly identical to the classic Spyderco Tenacious, but with a 4 1/4'' blade ; www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ?s=SP142GP

I don't know why, but except for the ridiculously expensive Warrior, I've never been fond of Spyderco knives. Still, it's a good looking knife and I know many people raved about the Tenacious.

Personnaly, I didn't like Spyderco until I held one of their product in my hand, their ergonomics and quality has to be seen and held in-person. Having the opportunity to get a Cold Steel-sized Spyderco folder is one of my fantasy coming to life

Then I'll look forward to your thoughts on the Resilience, since I could use an inexpensive EDC folder.

Here's a new knife that I just happened to learn about in a newsletter I still get from a site I, ironically, don't visit anymore since their prices went up and they're no longer the cheapest. It's a Benchmade Model 53 Balisong; while it can't be exported, it's still a nice looking balisong, as well as one of the cheapest on the market that I know of (it's edged out by the Bradley Kimura series and all the Bear & Sons, but I've never heard anything about the latter, so I can't speculate on their quality): www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... tml?s=BM53

Orion ; Thanks for that link and sorry for not answering your post earlier. The prices on that website are incredebly high (rightly so, considering the materials involved). With the cost of two or three of these knives, I could replace my old Saturn ...
Teclis ; Cool modifications on an already cool enough knife. I dunno how CS comes up with these designs ...

That's a nice looking collection, Dave. You happen to have a few knives I want.

Well, what's your opinion of the Secret Agent? I used to want one because I love the look of it, but then I got to hold one and I absolutely loathe the sheath; that stupid little button makes it a pain to unsheathe in any kind of hurry. Would you recommend it (minus the sheath)?

Haha! I actually like the sheath but it does take some getting used to. The knife handles really well, super fast and light as a feather. The steel is great, wickedly sharp and easy to keep that way. Bonus: It handles just as well in the backwards grip ( downwards stabbing position ) and has enough pommel to use as a non-lethal impact device. Mine is responsible for several tiny slice marks in my BOB punching bag. I was doing some neck-slash practice and didn't realize I was making contact ! The thing sliced him up good and I had to repair him with shoe-goo !!
