That photo's from right after I got out of the hospital, John. The scars not so bad now. Heres the real story viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2719&start=20(I'm working on various other more amusing versions all the time - sharks, muggers, terrorists, jack russell terriers... all the good stuff! hahahahahaha) Yeah, Dave, thats all mostly in the past now. Thank Mithras! As to pet names (who/what you callin' a "pet"?)... well, magnificence, grandiosity, splendorifisness... they're all appropriate. heh heh heh

Ugh, sorry John I missed that but that was really good. Got more talent then just with Bronze and steel. If this whole blade smithing thing doesnt work out you got a pretty good jump on the creative writing gig.

--I take it you haven't read the whole thread (yet?) - understandable as it's some 30+ pages. quote from page 26 answering how the engraving is being done:-- Ah no, i skimmed through them as i was short on time. today i will read through them all though rest assured Greybeard! nice to meet you! And many a times i have dreamed of discovering blades such as these in a timless tomb! but alas this has not come to pass yet. I did ready earlier about a member recommending an engraving tool like you described but i thought it was after your work so i assumed you has used a different method. I actually own 2 Ablion Atleanteans, one has the black runes that im guessing is a combination of machining and acid etching, and i must tell you, yours look a million times better! I was actually thinking of modifying my atlantean's runes to look like yours as a result! The scales on mine are actually a little less detailed as well unfortunately, so i was hoping you had found a way to modify the scales after they were already cast into bronze. Oh well! I think what you have done is nothing short of incredible. There is so much "personality" in your creation. You even found a way to turn that rusted blade into a distressed piece that looks ancient, yet somehow in incredible condition, as if it were forged by the atlanteans themselves out of an impervious mystical metal I simply must ask that more detailed pictures be uploaded at once so that my eyes may feast on their beauty! Blue wale singing classes? By Crom does your skill know no bounds Greaybeard! Woah Those are some serious battlescars! id have payed the eye of the serpent to witness that epic skirmish!

Thanks, John, for the kind words for my words. I think I was maybe enjoying a few extra vicodans when I scribed that... hahahahahaha
Yeah, Dave, thats the cover shot. hyuk hyuk hyuk
Ahhh, Conan, its very good to make your acquaintence as well. You are very generous with your praise, sir, and I thank you! As to refining the dragons' scales on your sword, I think a 1/16th ball bit in a dremel, wielded judiciously, would give you good results. Not as easy as re-working them in wax, but it should get the job done!
And if you promise to keep it a secret... I really think the whales, when they sing back to me, are just saying "hey, boat-boy, shut the F up... we're trying to get some sleep down here!" (rough translation...) hahahahahaha

More accurately, Dave, regarding that photo: "ahh, to be photo-shopped and drowned in self-delusion..."

Maybe John can clear this up? Travis sold spot #3 and I bought it.

After looking at the list, maybe Travis meant spot #3 after the first one was done? It was originally #4 then became #3 on the waiting list?

Easy answer for this... I just already happened to be working on the next two blades simultaneously - getting ambitious now, you see. Or if you really want, you could all melee it out with the bare blades (nobody's gonna mess up my beautiful waxes...)

That would be correct.
