Looking at the enlarged image on KOAs website, you can see the distinctive layering effect of pattern welding right along the cutting edge of the blade. This rules out crucible or Wootz.
It's still a nice piece, damn pretty looking.
Mikes concerns about the grip construction are the only real sticking point that I see with it. What kind of tang does that dude have, is the question? Even fancily executed pieces originating in Asia and India often are revealed to have wimpy shrimpy rat tail tangs welded to the pattern welded blade body solely to facilitate hilting.

I emailed KoA inquiring about this sword and got this response.
"It is made in India, but is not a name brand. It has a long solid tang going most of the way through the grip. It is pinned to the grip. Thanks Ryan Whittlinger"
